Welcome to the UNSW@ADFA Research & Research Training Office
UNSW@ADFA Research & Research Training Office facilitates research efforts of Academic Staff and Postgraduate Students through the administration & assistance with preparation and submission of applications for internal or external funding sources and is the first point of contact for all issues relating to funding.
The RRTO works closely with the Grants Management Office and Research Strategy Office at UNSW Kensingston campus, administers all internal research grants, monitors research performance and research funding and provides support to academic staff for the development of the research careers. The Office
- offers strategies and advice on writing applications;
- assists in identifying opportunities for research collaboration between staff in the Faculy and with staff on the main campus;
- organises workshops for researchers;
- helps seek funding from appropriate sources;
- organises an annual Research Day to promote and support research;
- organises monthly Faculty Seminars to disseminate information about current research underway at UNSW@ADFA and promotes discussion between academics across disciplines;
- organises workshops for research collaboration across Schools, with the main campus and other external organisations including Defence and universities in other countries;
- liaises with a wide range of funding bodies; and
- assists with preparation and submission of grant applications.
With regard to postgraduate research students, the RRTO works closely with the Graduate Reseach School at UNSW Kensington campus. The Office
- organises workshops to develop and enhance research students' skills;
- administers scholarships in conjunction with the Graduate Research School;
- assists in the selection of China Scholarship Council sponsored PhD students; and
- provides pastoral care to research students.
